Best 4K Vlogging Camera with Flip Screen | Sony a6400 vs 6600 Unboxing and Video Test

Sony a6600 vs. a6400

I got the new Sony A6600 Camera, and I’m very excited about it!

My team and I spent a lot of time trying to make a decision: we weren’t sure if we wanted to go with an actual camcorder, or another DSLR-style video camera that we can use for blogging and videos. But in the end, we wanted to have video quality that matched our existing cameras – because we already have high-quality videos – and we just needed a second camera angle. So we picked up this a6600.

Today I’m going to unbox this camera and tell you a little bit about it, including where to buy it (and the a6400) via affiliate links. I’ll tell you what the differences are between this and the a6400 (or maybe some of the a6000 cameras that are a little bit lower-end).

So, without further ado, let’s go ahead and roll right into it.

Unboxing The a6600

This is a 4K camera, just like the Sony A6400 Camera. But what really sets it apart for me is that it has IBIS: In Body Image Stabilization.

I don’t worry about the stabilization too often, because most of what we shoot here in our studio is on a tripod. But I wanted to have it for other situations: if I’m going out to do a vlog, or shooting something more personal for my family videos, I can use this. That way, my videos won’t have that shakiness.

The sensor helps you track and makes up for the image shakiness that can occur as you’re walking around with the camera. It makes the shot a little bit smoother.

Using A Lens Adapter

Now, I didn’t get a lens because I already have a couple other lenses, but I wanted to show you how I’m going to attach them.

I bought this Kiwifotos adapter that fits for the lenses I already have, so I can use multiple lenses on this camera. This one is specifically for Nikon lenses.

I have a 35-millimeter really cool old school lens that I got from my friend, and I can attach it easily to this camera using the adapter. Now, I can shoot 4K video with a 35-millimeter lens. The lens doesn’t have auto-focus, so I can manually adjust the aperture and everything. It’s a really cool tool!

Both Cameras Are Great!

This camera is another great addition to our family. Now, as we continue to produce these videos, we’re going to start using multiple camera angles. The image quality of this new camera may be a little bit better compared to the one we’re currently using, but they’re both really great cameras overall.

We want to add as much value to our videos as possible, and make our production level as high as we possibly can. We have some great content coming out soon, and this camera is going to help a lot with that! So I was excited to tell you guys all about it.

Thank you guys so much for watching, and for helping me make this happen. I couldn’t have done this without you guys, so thank you. I love you all! Make sure you subscribe, and as always, keep looking up.
