But there’s one opportunity specific I want to get into in this article that’s going to help you, as a creative – whether you’re a web designer, graphic designer, or motion designer – do this on your own or with a team and be able to leverage a billion-dollar market. Yes, that’s billion with a “b”.
Learning How to Make Money with NFTs: Opportunity Knocks
If you are not familiar with NFTs (non-fungible tokens), in this article I’m going to explain an opportunity in the NFT space for you called Zedge. This article is about Zedge for designers. How you can implement this into your day-to-day life and into your business to actually make some extra side money – whether that’s a small amount of money or a large amount of money. Everybody’s going to have different results, so with that all being said, let’s go ahead and jump right into the article.

What Is Zedge?
There’s a really easy entry place that I found that I want to share with you. Everything that I find, everything that I research and discover, I’m sharing with you guys if I know that it’s legitimate. I can confidently say that because I’m using it myself. I just started recently; in fact, the first non-fungible tokens I ever bought were actually on Zedge. If you’re not big on phone personalization, you’re probably wondering, “What the heck is Zedge?” Well, Zedge is a massively popular phone personalization platform with more than 32 million monthly active users (as of the time of publication).
It is a massive platform that has a lot of different things, from ringtones to wallpapers to now live wallpapers and NFTs. It is a growing marketplace, and I see them being a leader in the industry. They’re a publicly-traded company, I’ve watched interviews of their ceo, and they are well vetted by me. So I’ve looked into these guys, and I want to make sure that you guys know this is a legit company that you can actually jump into and start to try to make some side cash or maybe even some full-time cash, just depending on how good of an artist you are.

I want you to understand and know and realize–like I did–how big of an opportunity this is. So I went and bought, for the first time ever, four of my own NFTs on the Zedge platform. And I can just pull them up here on my phone – three out of the four I bought from the same artist. I’m following this artist and I saw that all of his stuff was selling. As I said, I really think this is a great opportunity for you. Zedge is a massive platform; there are over 35 million active users on the platform with over 500 million downloads of their app.
So it’s a massive opportunity. A lot of customers and a lot of people are going to be using this phone personalization marketplace, which is available not just to Android users, but also to iOS users. There are three benefits I want to talk to you guys about today when it comes to Zedge and doing NFTs on that platform. I want to give you some context to the NFT marketplace so you can just really understand the full context of this.
In 2021 alone, there were over 23 billion dollars in sales accumulated according to DAP Radar. That’s a huge number! That 23 billion is up from 100 million in 2020, so you can see the market is just exploding right now. I think that there are three huge benefits to going to Zedge first before you go anywhere else.
How to Make Money with NFTs: Find a New Platform
There are a lot of options out there for you, and Zedge is a new one. That’s really the big benefit: it’s the new hot thing, and they already have a massive database of people. I already see tons of NFTs being sold. One thing to know is that on this platform–on the Zedge platform–the NFTs are actually linked to the Ethereum blockchain which is a major blockchain.
Blockchain technology is growing quickly and there are other options outside of Ethereum, but the Ethereum platform, and the way that they’ve set it up on Zedge, allows you to get zero fees. So this is a new platform that is still growing and adapting and evolving over time. They are offering new features that you can implement as an NFT artist, and so if this is something you want to do, this is the first thing I would really just jump on because it’s brand new and you can be the first to get there. That’s why I wanted to create this article so quickly and get it out. I want you to have the opportunity to be one of the first to sell NFTs on Zedge like me.
How to Make Money with NFTs: Find an Easy Platform
The second benefit that I found is really awesome is that it’s really easy. It’s simple to create an NFT, which I’m going to create an in-depth video for you guys on how to do in the future. You just do your artwork and design, animate it if you want, and export it. It’s four or five steps at the most.
You download the app, make your account, upload the material, enter the relevant information (title, description, and a price), and done! When you’re actually verified on the platform, you can list that NFT with your other ones. This is a really simple method to create and sell an NFT on a marketplace without having to set up wallets or any of this other complicated stuff. You can establish a wallet through MetaMask that connects to your Mintable if desired. Overall, this is probably the simplest technique I’ve seen for generating and selling NFTs on platforms.
How to Make Money with NFTs: Diversify Content
The third benefit I see–and the way I want to close this out–is the money people make a thousand to ten thousand dollars a month just on regular content creation on the Zedge platform, selling ringtones and wallpapers, and all those other things that phone personalization.
Now that they have the NFTs, I think that people’s incomes and the revenues they make from Zedge are going to be huge. So, I’m going to jump on the platform, and over the next 30 days, I’m going to monitor everything I’m doing on the Zedge platform to show you how to make money with NFTs. As I mentioned, I have four NFTs that I’ve actually purchased myself. I spent about probably a hundred bucks on those. I can actually link those NFTs to mintable and list them on Mintable and make offers and get them sold. And I can also link them from my Mintable account to my MetaMask wallet. It’s actually really simple to do.
Final Thoughts on How to Make Money with NFTs
I actually figured the whole process out over about a week, so this is a great opportunity for you to make some extra side money from your artwork. It’s probably just sitting in a drive somewhere, not being used. So this is a great opportunity if you haven’t checked out Zedge yet. I would definitely download the app and check out the website. You can go to Zedge and actually see their content creation tab, and get started. To get started, you just need to upload six pieces of content. It’s really easy – you can do it in just a few hours.
